This Privacy Policy describes how and when ConvOcean (“ConvOcean.com”) collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our Services. ConvOcean receives information through our Apps and/or websites, to which this Privacy Policy is posted.

1. Information Collection And Use

Creating an Account and Profile Information

If you create an account as a customer, we might use your information to provide us with certain information that can be used to identify you, such as your name, email address, or phone number (“Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII”). We will never delete your followers, followings, tweets or messages, we can not do that. You can not follow or unfollow any user in any social media platform. We may not collect any other information to identify you unless otherwise prompted in advance to update the current package via email or phone directly from ConvOcean.

Use of Your Information

Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve our Services, to administer your use of the Services (including your account, if you are a user or a customer), and to enable you to enjoy and easily navigate our Services. In addition, we may use your information to send you information about our Services, respond to your requests and facilitate your use of the Services. We may also use your information to send you an email and notification that directly promotes our Services. However, we will aim to minimize any direct contact.

Analytics

Our primary goals in providing analytics of anything online and social media analytics of anything online are to give details of trending things online. This data is publicly available using the APIs of respective social media networks. We are displaying those details in proper format which can be understood easily and can not be copied by others. In no way you are allowed to exploit the service, attempt to hack the service, access unauthorized social media analytics data, or use ConvOcean for commercial purposes, unless authorized in writing from ConvOcean. You may not reverse engineer or decompile the analytics or create any unauthorized service that ties into ConvOcean without permission. The legal action will be taken against any person or any entity or any third party for any illegal or above stated behavior.

Location Information

In addition to profile information, we may access your location by converting your IP address into a rough geolocation or by accessing your mobile device’s GPS coordinates or coarse location. We only use this information to determine if you are within a state where ConvOcean is available and to find related updates within the local community and related to questions, local issues and development.

Messages Details

You can send messages to your followers & other online users from any location. You should not spam users by sending multiple messages. When you send more than 2 messages to the same user in a week, ConvOcean has a right to block you from login and using the ConvOcean tools. Receiver can stop receiving any message from any user on ConvOcean by unsubscribing on the link in the message or by sending email directly to us on [email protected]

Cookies

We use “Cookie” technology to collect additional information, including usage data to provide and improve our Services. A Cookie is a small data file that is placed on your computer’s hard disk when you access our Services. ConvOcean may use both session Cookies and persistent Cookies to identify that you’ve logged in to the Services, to better understand how you interact with our Services, to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on our Services and to customize and improve our Services. Unlike persistent cookies, session Cookies are deleted when you log off from the Services. Most Internet browsers automatically accept Cookies. If you do not want cookies from ConvOcean or other services, you can change your settings to stop accepting Cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the services you visit. However, some Services may not function properly if you disable Cookies.

Web Beacons

“Web Beacons” (also known as web bugs, pixel tags or clear GIFs) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that may be included on our Services for several purposes, including to deliver or communicate with Cookies, to track and measure the performance of our Services, to monitor how many visitors view our Services, and to monitor the effectiveness of our advertising. In the event that ConvOcean is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or if our assets are acquired by a third party in the event we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, some or all of our assets, including your PII, may be sold or transferred to a third party as part of that transaction.

Credit Card Information

We securely transmit your credit card information to our payment processors: Stripe or PayPal. We do not store credit card numbers, date or security code related information in our system.

Use of third party vendors

Payment processing on ConvOcean.com is provided by Stripe or PayPal. ConvOcean may share your personal data with Stripe or PayPal in connection with the processing of your contributions or other payment related services we offer. Any such third parties shall be required to maintain and use your information in accordance with our privacy policy. Personal information may be shared between the various legal entities that make up ConvOcean for ConvOcean’s purposes alone

Other than as described above, we will not use your personal information nor release it to any other party without your permission, unless we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. In such cases, we will use or share only as much of your personal information as is required for this purpose.

IP Addresses

We log IP addresses, which are the locations of computers or networks on the Internet, and analyze them for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. We also aggregate the number of page hits in order to track the popularity of certain pages and improve the quality of our site.

We offer you choices regarding the collection, use and sharing of your PII and we’ll respect the choices you make. Please note that if you decide not to provide us with the PII that we request, you may not be able to access all of the features of the Services.

Please be aware, however, that no method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing information is completely secure. 6. Responding to Do Not Track Signals

Our Site does not have the capability to respond to “Do Not Track” signals received from various web browsers.

7. Links to Other Sites

Our Services may contain links to websites and services that are owned or operated by third parties (each, a “Third-party Service”). Any information that you provide on or to a Third-party Service or that is collected by a Third-party Service is provided directly to the owner or operator of the Third-party Service and is subject to the owner’s or operator’s privacy policy. We’re not responsible for the content, privacy or security practices and policies of any Third-party Service. To protect your information we recommend that you carefully review the privacy policies of all Third-party Services that you access.

8. International Transfer

Your PII may be transferred to, and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. If you’re located outside the United States, Canada, UK, Europe or India and choose to provide your PII to us, we may transfer your PII to the United States and process it there.

9. Our Policy Towards Children and COPPA

Our Services are not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect PII from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information from our files as soon as possible and terminate the child’s account.

ConvOcean does not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifying information from children under the age of 13. ConvOcean does not permit contributions from minors under the age of 18.

ConvOcean does not knowingly collect or process data of children within the meaning of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.

10. Data retention

Unless earlier requested by you, we will delete your personal data as soon as it’s no longer necessary for the collected purpose, except as required by law. In such an event, the data will be blocked to prohibit any other use.

11. Cross-Border Transfers

Your Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers, and by using the ConvOcean Platform you understand that your information will be transferred to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, which may have data protection rules that are different from those of your country. In certain circumstances, courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies or security authorities in those other countries may be entitled to access your Personal Information.

“Pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), if you are a California resident, you may request that we:

  • Disclose to you the following information covering the 12 months preceding your request:
    • The categories of Personal Information we collected about you and the categories of sources from which we collected such Personal Information;
    • The specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you;
